Forzani Desktops Get a Facelift With New Windows 7 Desktop Theme

The Forzani Group is the largest national sporting goods retailer in Canada. They wanted to transform the end user experience by delivering an interactive brand experience with the use of a customized desktop through the upgrade to Windows 7.

Imaginet was selected to create a custom desktop experience that would include 3 gadgets focused on pulling information from the intranet (SharePoint) and delivering it to individual desktops of Forzani Group employees without user intervention.


Wait Times Task Force – Impact Awards Finalist

Imaginet was engaged by the Manitoba eHealth and the Wait Times Task Force in January of 2009 to provide an application that would automate and reduce the wait times associated with the family physician-to-physician specialist referral.  This project was called Bridging General and Specialized Care (BGSC).

Imaginet successfully developed a customized software application to improve interaction between family physicians (and/or other referring
clinicians such as nurse practitioners) and specialist physicians to whom family physicians may refer patients for assessment and/or treatment. BGSC not only increases communication between these parties, but also reduces wait time and increases productivity and patient satisfaction.

Consulting Company Uses Latest Development Tools to Improve Software Test Process

‪Consulting services and software company Notion Solutions wanted to improve the quality of its software products, but was having difficulty ensuring adequate test coverage across different client and server operating system versions.

The company deployed Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate to all developer desktops; upgraded to Visual Studio Team Foundation Server 2010 for application lifecycle management; deployed Visual Studio Lab Management 2010 to virtualize its test environment; and adopted Microsoft Test Manager—included in the Ultimate edition—to manage test cases and capture test results.

With its new test environment, tools, and processes, Imaginet is benefiting from improved software quality, increased productivity, new developer capabilities, and simplified licensing of the software required for development and testing.‬
