We utilize our Digital Marketing and SharePoint capabilities to have our clients invite individual from the Marketing department to see what the full capabilities of a solution built on SharePoint as a platform component can provide.
The Imaginet Custom Desktop Experience was created to provide Internal Branding and Corporate Communications Capabilities. However, as we have found in discussing this with the Business Units the potential to the organization appears limitless.
When Forzani’s asked us to present on SharePoint we discussed with them our unique approach to creating fantastic user experiences that provide business value as the lead component of the implementation. They discussed with us their struggles to gain support for funding the SharePoint project from IT. We asked them to invite the marketing department and the CMO to discuss and demonstrate the full potential of SharePoint as an internal and external business tool for Marketing.
Our demonstration includes custom branded internet, intranet, extranet SharePoint demos and discusses the potential to extend the capabilities to the desktop with custom branded gadgets that present SharePoint information.
This is known as the Imaginet Custom Desktop Experience.
Case Study
Imaginet was engaged by The Forzani Group (FGL) to develop a custom desktop theme to enhance their brand, communicate pertinent information about the company and keep all employees of Forzani connected by bringing information to them in a familiar setting using their desktop.
The Desktop Application contained a number of gadgets that Forzani thought would bring the most relevant information to the forefront of each employee's desktop. Those gadgets included a calendar, announcements, news and an image gallery.
The IT group was extremely pleased with the deployment, employees were extremely engaged, SharePoint usage increased dramatically, and the success of this project has led to future opportunities within Forzani Group.
By pushing SharePoint data to the user's desktops, Imaginet has enabled a whole new level of interactivity and user adoption of Microsoft SharePoint within Forzani. Imaginet's Custom Desktop Experience is the only solution in the world that sells SharePoint 2010 and Windows 7 to business users, IT and Marketing in this manner. It enables incredible user adoption by driving users to SharePoint with every interaction users take with the desktop gadgets.
