SharePoint Syntex

Probably the biggest news is the upcoming release of SharePoint Syntex coming out of Microsoft’s Project Cortex. This content management tool can extract important information from documents to allow all kinds of automation to occur.

Microsoft continues to improve the new SharePoint admin suite adding actionable insights and improved visibility on where and how sites are being created, and by whom.

Security and Compliance in SharePoint and OneDrive

New external collaboration tools are being added to SharePoint and OneDrive, including automatic expiration of external access, which rolled out already this week, look for it in your Tenants soon.

Workplace Communications and Employee Engagement Innovations

New innovations for workplace communications and employee engagement are coming. Not the least of which is the ability to put your high traffic Intranet SharePoint home page directly into Teams with the Home Site App. Also, new updates for News Feeds and soon to be added email digests will ensure communication gets out to those who should see it.
