Welcome to the Microsoft 365 Newest Updates series. Every week, we do our best to sift through the most important Message Center updates into an easy-to-digest format so you’re always up-to-date.
With that out of the way, let’s get started:
Export Lists to CSV
As of today, you can now export SharePoint Lists to CSV files. Previously, you could only export to Excel, but now we also have the option to export to CSV. This is only available for SharePoint Lists, however, not Document Libraries. Hopefully, that will come down shortly.
Launch your portal using the SharePoint Portal launch scheduler
Associated Roadmap ID: 70799
The new SharePoint lunch scheduler will allow you to coordinate and schedule launches for high traffic sites in your tenant. This will allow you to release new sites in phases and better monitor site quality and performance. Roll out will begin shortly and complete by mid-July.
This new feature will help you organize launches of new SharePoint sites that you expect will become high traffic areas of your tenant. It will allow you to schedule waves of users to access the site, gather feedback, monitor performance, and even stall the launch if there are issues to resolve. It even provides an automatic redirect for existing sites if that is required.
Of note, this feature only works on modern SharePoint communication sites, and you require the Site Owner to schedule a launch. Check out more details and guided steps here: Launch your portal using the Portal launch scheduler – Microsoft 365 Enterprise | Microsoft Docs
That’s it for the updates of note this week. See you again next week for more updates and changes!
