Welcome to the Microsoft 365 Newest Updates series. Every week, we do our best to sift through the most important Message Center updates into an easy-to-digest format so you’re always up-to-date.

With that out of the way, let’s get started:

SharePoint Admin: New Dashboard

Associated Roadmap ID: 68812

In the coming weeks, SharePoint Admins will gain access to a new dashboard on their home page with the following information and more:

  • SharePoint storage usage
  • SharePoint site usage
  • SharePoint file activity
  • OneDrive usage
  • OneDrive file activity
  • Search active sites
  • Sensitivity labels
  • Term store operations

You’ll also be able to add cards and customize them to fit your needs. This helps with identifying opportunities for improvement using real-time data.

The rollout has already started and will continue into late July.

SharePoint News to Display in the Yammer feed

Starting in late May, Yammer users will see SharePoint News in their home feed alongside their standard Yammer content. News will display as a new post type on web and mobile. Completed rollout expected by late June.

That’s it for the updates of note this week. See you again next week for more updates and changes!
