Welcome to the Microsoft 365 Newest Updates series. Every week, we do our best to sift through the most important Message Center updates into an easy-to-digest format so you’re always up-to-date.
With that out of the way, let’s get started:
Meeting Scheduler for Microsoft 365
Associated Roadmap ID: 81948
The nightmare of finding the right meeting time for multiple attendees is gone. Scheduler—a new Microsoft 365 add-on service—enables Cortana to find a time that works best for everyone, send out invites, reschedule meetings, find focus time, schedule across time zones, and add online meetings.
Once your admin enables Scheduler, all you need to do is include Cortana as a recipient in an email request along with all your invitees. From there, Cortana will find a time that works for everyone and book it for you. It will even work with external users regardless if it can access their calendars (if it can’t, it will send an email requesting times that work for them).
You can get started with Scheduler today! Make sure to alert your admins.
Chat Bubbles During Meetings
Associated Roadmap ID: 65948
Instead of meeting chat being displayed only in the chat tab, chat bubbles will now display in the main meeting window alerting all users in the chat that someone has posted a message there. There is nothing required to enable this. The rollout will begin mid-July and complete around the end of July.
That’s it for the updates of note this week. See you again next week for more updates and changes!
